How God Worked!!
What a way to end the season of van events! God gave us some wonderful conversations and connections during the Moonlanding III event! When we were down on ourselves and trying to analyze our impact in the community, God showed us how we are changing the community!
We had so many conversations about the kingdom with several different people. And a few continual conversations throughout the entire event with a few as well. We talked with a man that was just beginning to start his journey through faith again. He was really enthusiastic about being able to grow and learn more about how to maintain his faith while traveling solo. He said he really appreciated the time we spent together having conversations with faith.
Another man said he appreciated us being at the event. He confessed he had a problem with trusting anyone outside of himself. During chapel we talked about the love of God and how he demonstrated that by his death on the cross. After the service we sat and talked together more about God’s love and he asked how he might start getting to know this Jesus who gave his life. We talked about reading through John and how I might help him to discover the goodness of Jesus through continued conversations with him. We exchanged numbers and I hope to be able to guide him into a relationship with the Creator!
Finally a woman was also rediscovering her faith and how it should impact her life. We talked with her a few times over the course of the event and shared the love of God with her. Growing up in a strict home she felt God to be overbearing and angry. We talked at length about God’s love and grace and how he is on her side. She was so excited to see our sticker and continually thanked us for bringing Jesus to the event.
God clearly made it known to us that we are needed and desired in the community of vanlife nomads. Please pray that those who we had these conversations with, we might maintain contact through the off season and help foster their earnestness to seek the LORD. God is good and he is impacting lives in this community!
